She’s an incredibly smart mixed herding dog who loves to follow you around the house, helping with every task. She has the silliest personality and loves to make you laugh.

She’s an incredibly smart mixed herding dog who loves to follow you around the house, helping with every task. She has the silliest personality and loves to make you laugh.

We're looking for a special new home for Ella, our beloved 5-year-old mixed herding dog. Ella is a gem, brimming with intelligence and affection. She thrives on companionship, following her humans around and engaging playfully in daily activities. Her quirky personality is a constant source of joy and laughter.

Unfortunately, Ella and her sister have developed female-female housemate aggression. This has required us to make the difficult decision to rehome Ella, ensuring both dogs can lead safe, happy, stress-free lives.

Ella's ideal environment is as an only dog, where she can soak up all the attention and love she deserves. She's an adventurer at heart, perfect for someone who enjoys hiking, outdoor activities, and a good rest at the end of a busy day. She loves car trips, disc golf outings, reading the neighborhood pee-mail, splashing in puddles, and embracing new experiences with her characteristic enthusiasm.

She's also perfectly content being a helper dog around the house. She loves to supervise chores, lounge around the house, and observe the hustle and bustle of her neighborhood through the backyard or living room window. She also loves to be cozy next to her humans underneath a warm blanket.

Ella's herding instinct means she's proactive and spirited, especially around other dogs. She's friendly and has done well in controlled settings like doggy daycare in the past, but we recommend her dog interactions be minimal because of her history with her sister.

In more structured or on-leash settings, Ella shines. She's well-behaved and confident, making her a fantastic companion for café outings or leisurely strolls in dog-friendly locales.

Finding the right home for Ella is about matching her vibrant spirit with an owner who appreciates her unique qualities and can provide the engaging, loving environment in which she thrives. We're happy to schedule a meet and greet and trial run. We ensure no commitment if Ella does not work for your home or lifestyle. We also offer references from her training program, 501 K9, a certified NePoPo® Gold Instructor and Trainer.

If you feel you could be the loving, attentive owner Ella needs, please reach. We’re looking for someone who understands her herding nature and can offer her a happy, engaging life as the sole dog in the household. We're committed to ensuring Ella's transition is as smooth and positive as possible, and we welcome any questions about her personality, needs, and how she might fit into your life.
